Tampa Medical Innovations Inc.

Tampa Medical Innovations, Inc. (TaMI) is a Medical Device company working on an innovative portfolio of products.  We have partnered with some of the leading Clinical and Academic institutions in the country to commercialize their “untapped” Medical Devices.  Our business model is to focus on simple Class I and II devices that are low cost, have large market potential and will monetize quickly for our investors.

Company History

TaMI is a Joint Venture of Moffitt Cancer and MDDG, established in 2012 to collaborate on the many opportunities in medical devices which are otherwise being neglected. The company's lead product is a unique IV closure system invented by Dr. Tariq Chaudry, with following products in a variety of areas.

William Robert Knab: Over 25 years of medical device marketing, product development and business leadership experience. Drove successful new ventures at Baxter International, Haemonetics, Medisystems and two successful start-ups, HemoCleanse and Renal Solutions. Founded Matrix Technology Management in 2004, a consulting organization focused on the Medical Device industry. Education background: MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.


Don White: An entrepreneur and startup business development specialist who has created over five efficient, cost-effective, and profitable companies. He has built an extensive network of entrepreneurs, investment groups, subject matter experts, support organizations, and engineers. Don has diverse “hands-on” experience in: Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Product 
Development. Education: B.Sc.Ed, The University of Toledo


Scott Hampton: Scott has founded two medical device firms and a bio-delivery company, as well as a successful consulting firm which provides strategic and management leadership for innovative physicians and companies - specializing in novel medical products that make a real difference. Diverse experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Regulatory and the Product Development Process. Education: U. C. San Diego MS, International Manufacturing Management


Tariq Chaudhry: Staff Anesthesiologist and Director of Intra-op Transesophageal Echocardiogram Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. Completed Anesthesia Residency at Tufts School of Medicine. Author of multiple Anesthesia publications in national journals. Nominated Physician of the Year Award. Director, DaVinci Medical Devices Inc, a start-up. Work in progress on three intra-op medical device patents.
